Art and Design
At Pepper Hill School we teach art and design in line with the New National Curriculum. All children are encouraged to participate in a variety of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional activities using a wide range of materials and techniques which stimulate their imagination and allow them to express personal thoughts, emotions and observations. Children develop a variety of skills and in Textiles and Collage, Drawing, Painting and Printing, 3D work and Clay, Photography and Computing.
Our Art and Design planning includes an introduction to the appreciation of artists, crafts people and designers both locally and from a variety of cultures through images and artefacts, where children are encouraged to observe closely and evaluate. Children also use the local environment to inspire their work.
