Pupil Premium
The school is given additional funding for those children who are in receipt of free school meals, children-in-care and children with a parent in the armed forces. These funds are used to ensure that the children in these groups are supported to achieve the very best they can. This additional funding has been used to enlarge the staff team, providing quality first teaching in every class, with some support from teaching assistants. As these sessions are largely dedicated to the teaching of Reading, Writing and Maths, we are able to ensure that all pupils who need additional support are able to receive it.
The progress of pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium is closely monitored so that the need for interventions is quickly identified, and specialist support can be put in place without delay. Details of the interventions used are carefully tracked and reviewed, enabling all pupils to make at least expected progress, and, where necessary, accelerated progress.
Below are the Pupil Premium strategy and planning documents.
